WEST CAMPUS CLUBS
Art & Culture Club with Ms. Lisa B.- This club is designed to explore cultures through hands on art projects, music and culinary craft (food). As a group, we will choose from a list of cultures to explore foods to cook. Click HERE for flyer
Art Club with Mr. Mike- Students will explore the wonderful world of painting. In the first session we will explore and experiment with a variety of mediums including watercolor, tempera, and acrylic. Click HERE for flyer
Chess Club with Mr. Jimmy- Students will learn to use strategy, gambits, and defense tactics while competing and having fun! Click HERE for flyer
Cello Club with Ms. Lynne- Teaches with a Suzuki style of instruction. Suzuki is based on the principle that all children possess ability and that this ability can be developed and enhanced through a nurturing environment. Students will play weekly in class and perform throughout the year at school events such as Pajama Day, Book Fair, and Graduation, as well as at local Assisted Living Facilities, and in a year end recital. Sewing Club with Ms. Sohni- It’s sew much fun! students will start with basic stitches and by the end of the class they will be making aprons, table mats and sew much more. Click HERE for flyer
Spanish Club with Veronica Fiz- An after school Spanish immersion program at Turtle River Montessori. This program is designed to be a fun, interactive, and immersive experience for your child where language acquisition happens naturally. Our weekly programs will incorporate music, art, and various themes so that children will not only learn a foreign language, but most importantly have fun during the process. S.T.E.M. Club with Mr. Mike- Students will engage in fun, hands-on, minds-on STEM learning. We will explore the science, technology, engineering, and math behind the physical science. Soccer – Happy Feet is an exciting soccer program for children ages 2 to 9. It’s an incredibly fun “story time with a soccer ball” program. Parents tell us Happy Feet is their child’s favorite weekly activity. Your child will have an absolute blast, develop a great self-concept & form healthy exercise habits with Happy Feet soccer! Self Defense– Have fun while learning self-defense! Learn and practice self-defense and awareness techniques in a friendly, safe, and non-competitive environment right next door to Turtle River Montessori! Children ages 3½ to 6 ½.
