Teacher Qualifications

A Montessori Lead Teacher has a Bachelor’s degree and Montessori teaching credentials. AMS certification involves both academic work (courses at an AMS teacher education center) and an internship at an AMS affiliated school. After successfully completing the academic phase and a year of internship, you can become a Lead Teacher.

 

Teacher’s Assistants are required to have a minimum of high school diploma and are personality suited to guiding children in the Montessori style.

Administrative Assistant (Full-time)

Looking for an experienced, full time administrative assistant for a lovely private school in Jupiter, FL. The admin. assistant supports operations by performing sensitive, complex office functions and acts as support to the School Director.

We are Gold Seal school accredited by the Association of Independent Schools of Florida and are full members of A.M.S. We are an authentic Montessori school serving students from Preschool through High school.

Hours: 8:00-4:30 pm Monday-Friday, including 4 weeks over the summer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, databases, & able to easily learn new programs.

Should be someone that is flexible and comfortable with multitasking and able to meet deadlines.

  • Completing all order fulfillment needs (materials, school supplies).
  • Scheduling Field Trips & Fundraisers.
  • Maintain budgets on various accounts
  • Setting up educational programs for upcoming school year (data entry)
  • Liaison between IT company and teachers as well as maintain inventory.
  • Answering phones and providing assistance or redirecting calls as needed.
  • Scheduling tours, meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Consults with Director on business and administrative matters that affect the school;
  • Professionally communicates and interacts with parents, staff members, and school Administration.
  • Assists in coordinating school events and functions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a high-traffic administrative position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs (Word and Excel)

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a school setting
