A Montessori Lead Teacher has a Bachelor’s degree and Montessori teaching credentials. AMS certification involves both academic work (courses at an AMS teacher education center) and an internship at an AMS affiliated school. After successfully completing the academic phase and a year of internship, you can become a Lead Teacher.
Teacher’s Assistants are required to have a minimum of high school diploma and are personality suited to guiding children in the Montessori style.
